Scope and Content Note
This series of photographs, made from negatives found in Division of Visual Instruction Series A3045, depicts street scenes in Manhattan during May 1916. Photos measure approximately 6 x 8 inches. All are captioned in pencil on verso.

Custodial History
When, for what purpose, and by whom these photographs were printed is unknown. They were probably transferred to the State Archives from the State Library ca. 1978 but were not accessioned until 2000.
