This series consists of subject files for the Commission and its subcommittees, which include Tuition and Student Aid, Subcommittee on Finance, Subcommittee on Access, Quality and Student Flow, and Information Technologies. Also included are meeting minutes, cassette recordings of meetings, papers, reports, and incoming and outgoing correspondence.

Administrative History

The Regents established the Commission on Higher Education in June 1992 to study and make recommendations on how New York State conceives, organizes and funds its system of post-secondary education.

Scope and Content Note

This series consists of subject files for the commission and its constituent subcommittees. Among the subcommittees included are Tuition and Student Aid, Subcommittee on Finance, Subcommittee on Access, Quality and Student Flow, and Information Technologies. Also contained in this series are commission meeting minutes, cassette recordings of meetings, papers and reports, and incoming and outgoing correspondence of Chairman Victor J. Riley, Jr. and other staff of the commission from June 1992 to September 1993.
