Summary:
This series consist of records documenting routine maintenance and operations of the Barge System operating from the Syracuse
Office. Records include subject and correspondence files, survey records and maintenance reports. Also included are boat plans,
blueprints and black and white photographs which depict ice conditions, repairs, general views, maintenance and operations,
and private camps on state property.

This series was created or collected in the Superintendent's office of the Syracuse Section Office of the Barge Canal system.
Records typically document routine maintenance and operations. Types of records include subject and correspondence files,
survey records, and maintenance reports. Approximately 350 small black and white photographs are included depicting ice conditions,
repairs, general views, maintenance and operations, and private camps on state property. The Syracuse Section Office was noted
as a canal boat building facility and several boat plans and blueprints are included.
