Scope and Content Note
This series consists of the original application and a bond for $3,000 from the Pinkerton Detective Agency requesting a license to work in New York State. The application was filed with the Office of the State Comptroller pursuant to Chapter 422 of the Laws of 1898.
Custodial History
This application was transferred to the State Archives by the State Library sometime in 1978 but became alienated for some unknown reason until it was identified and accessioned as part of the 11th floor renovation project.
