Summary:
The New York Network was created in 1967 as a recording and broadcasting service of The State University of New York. This series consists of videotapes documenting a conference on the history of the Governor Hugh L. Carey administration entitled, "The Carey Years: Lessons for New York and the Nation." Also included are several tapes featuring news conferences and speeches by Governor Mario M. Cuomo.

The New York Network was created in 1967 as a recording and broadcasting service of The State University of New York, and is currently a function of SUNY's Office of University Relations.

Scope and Content Note

This series consists of videotapes which document a conference on the history of the Governor Hugh L. Carey administration entitled, "The Carey Years: Lessons for New York and the Nation." The conference was held in 1995 and was sponsored in part by New York University's Taub Urban Research Center. Also included are several tapes featuring news conferences and speeches by Governor Mario Cuomo.
