This series consists of correspondence files of Industrial Commissioner Dr. Isador Lubin, created during Governor W. Averell
Harriman's administration (1955-1958). The records include correspondence with the governor's office and staff, Department
of Labor staff, labor unions and officials, and various New York State government officials, as well as private individuals.
The records contain memorandums received and sent, some enclosures, and reports.
Custodial History
This series was a gift to Syracuse University from Governor Harriman in 1959, and was later transferred to the New York State
Archives in 2006. The series consists of six series from the Syracuse University finding aid to the Harriman records, including:
series #183 Correspondence; series #190 Reports; series #193 Correspondence with Members of the Governor's Personal Staff;
series #194 Correspondence with Union Officials; and series #195 Miscellaneous Correspondence; series #203 Miscellaneous Reports.
