Administrative History

The Central New York Transportation Authority was established in 1970 to provide and enhance public rail, bus, marine, and air travel in the counties of Onandaga, Oneida, Cayuga, and Oswego. Its primary responsibility is the operation of the region's bus system.

This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible website of the Central New York Transportation Authority.

B2061-07: This accretion consists of a copy of the Central New York Transportation Authority site that was produced on May 3, 2007, shortly after Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains newsletters (2007), bus schedules and route maps, and information about parking and special services for older people, people with disabilities, college and university students, and people attending special events held within the authority's service region.

B2061-08: This accretion consists of a copy of the Central New York Transportation Authority site that was produced on June 8, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains additional news releases (2006-2008), newsletters (2006-2007), an annual budget (2008-2009), and information about the authority's bylaws, board of directors, and code of ethics. Also included are schedules, lists of fares, route maps, and other information about bus services, including special services for older people, people with disabilities, college and university students, and people attending special events held within the authority's service region.

B2061-10: This accretion consists of a copy of the Central New York Transportation Authority site produced on December 29, 2010, shortly after Governor David A. Paterson (2008-2010) left office. It contains additional news releases (2006-2010), newsletters (2006-2010), an annual report (2008-2009), financial statements (2009-2010). Also included are board of directors meeting minutes (2008-2010) and a code of ethics and statement of board member duties and responsibilities. Updated schedules, lists of fares, route maps, and other information about bus services are also present.

B2061-20: This accretion consists of a copy of the Central New York Transportation Authority site produced on March 25, 2020, during the third term of office of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo (2011- ). It contains annual reports (2016-2018), board of directors meeting minutes (2018-2020), budget information (2017-2021), and audited financial statements (2017-2019). Also included are investment reports (2017-2019), internal control assessments (2017-2019), reports to the Legislature (2017-2019), and policies governing the authority's operations and First Amendment activity at the authority's Central Transfer Hub in Syracuse. Updated information relating to schedules, fares, routes, and other aspects of the authority's bus service is also present.
