Scope and Content Note

This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible websites of the Empire State Stem Cell Board.

B2100-08: This accretion consists of a copy of the Empire State Stem Cell Board site produced on May 27, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains information about the board's mission and organizational structure, its bylaws (2007), and Board of Directors, Funding Committee, and Ethics Committee meeting minutes (2007-2008). A draft strategic plan (2008), a report on stem cell research in New York State (2007), and a stem cell research glossary (2008) are also included.

B2100-11: This accretion consists of a copy of the Empire State Stem Cell Board site produced on April 15, 2011, after Governor David A. Paterson (2008-2010) left office. Some of the information in this copy is also present in the May 27, 2008 copy, but this copy contains additional Board of Directors, Funding Committee, and Ethics Committee meeting minutes (2007-2010), information about NYSTEM research conferences (2009-2011), annual reports (2007-2009), board statements concerning compensation of oocyte donors, and comments about National Institutes of Health guidelines for human stem cell research. Also present are the Governor's Proclamation of Stem Cell Awareness Day, images used for the 2011 NYSTEM Calendar, information about grants and contracts awarded to institutions, and lists of shared facilities and resources.

B2100-15: This accretion consists of a copy of the Empire State Stem Cell Board site produced on January 26, 2015, shortly after Governor Andrew Cuomo (2011- ) completed his first term of office. It contains additional Board of Directors, Funding Committee, and Ethics Committee meeting minutes (2008-2014), annual reports (2007-2012), and information about NYSTEM research conferences (2009-2015). Also included are program news items (2008-2015), board statements (2009, 2011) concerning stem cell-related issues, a list of upcoming meetings (2015), and information about funding opportunities. Scientist profiles, the 2013 NYSTEM Calendar, and overviews of NYSTEM consortia awards, shared facilities and resources, and grants and contracts awarded (2008-2014) are also present.

B2100-20: This accretion consists of a copy of the Empire State Stem Cell Board site produced on January 25, 2020, during the third term of office of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo (2011- ). It contains additional Board of Directors, Funding Committee, and Ethics Committee meeting minutes (2007-2016), program news items (2008-2017), scientist profiles, information about NYSTEM research conferences (2009-2017), and grants and contracts awarded (2008-2016).
