Scope and Content Note

This series consists of archival copies of the official website of Senator John J. Flanagan. Researchers should note that in 2009, each Senator was allotted space on the main Senate website and the official sites of individual Senators were removed from the live Web.

B2219-06: This accretion consists of a copy of Senator Flanagan's official site produced on December 20, 2006, shortly before Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains biographical information, photographs, and press releases (2003-2006) concerning the former Kings Park Psychiatric Center, school funding, legislation that Senator Flanagan sponsored or supported, and other matters of interest to Senator Flanagan's constituents. A district map is also included.

B2219-08: This accretion consists of a copy of Senator Flanagan's official site produced on May 12, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains biographical information, press releases (2008), photographs, and information concerning a summer 2008 gasoline tax holiday and other subjects of interest to Senator Flanagan's constituents. A district map is also included.

Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live site and the limitations of Web archiving technology, most of the information contained within this site could not be captured properly. In addition, some of the navigational links do not work properly. However, identical sets of navigational links appear at the top and the bottom of each page. If the link in one set does not work correctly, click the Web browser's Back button and then click on the corresponding link in the other set.
