Scope and Content Note

This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible website of Senator Owen H. Johnson. Researchers should note that in 2009, each Senator was allotted space on the main Senate website and the official sites of individual Senators were removed from the live Web.

B2227-06: This accretion consists of an archival copy of Senator Johnson's official website produced on December 21, 2006, shortly before Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains biographical information, photographs, and press releases (2000-2006) concerning an ocean protection law and legislation that Senator Johnson sponsored or supported, events that took place within the 4th Senate District, and other matters of interest to Senator Johnson's constituents.

B2227-08: This accretion consists of a copy of Senator Johnson's official website produced on June 12, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains biographical information, press releases (2008), photographs, and information about the Homeowners Emergency Mortgage Assistance program and other matters of interest to Senator Johnson's constituents.

Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live site and the limitations of Web archiving technology, most of the information contained within this site could not be captured properly. In addition, some of the navigational links do not work properly. However, identical sets of navigational links appear at the top and the bottom of each page. If the link in one set does not work correctly, click the Web browser's Back button and then click on the corresponding link in the other set.
