Scope and Content Note

This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible website of Senator Jeffrey D. Klein. Researchers should note that in 2009, each Senator was allotted space on the main Senate Web site and the official sites of individual Senators were removed from the live Web.

B2229-06: This accretion consists of an archival copy of Senator Klein's official website produced on December 21, 2006, shortly before Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains biographical information, press releases (2005-2006), and a district map. Also included are a list of the dozen New York City supermarkets found to have the greatest number of sanitary code violations and other materials of interest to Senator Klein's constituents.

B2229-08: This accretion consists of a copy of Senator Klein's official website produced on June 12, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains biographical information, photographs, a district map, and press releases (2008). Also included are slideshow-style presentations concerning a proposed property tax cap, proposed legislation designed to minimize the impact of home foreclosures on surrounding neighborhoods, and access to prescription drugs needed by African-American and Hispanic-American health maintenance organization enrollees.

Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live site and the limitations of Web archiving technology, most of the information contained within this site could not be captured properly. In addition, some of the navigational links do not work properly. However, identical sets of navigational links appear at the top and the bottom of each page. If the link in one set does not work correctly, click the Web browser's Back button and then click on the corresponding link in the other set.
