Scope and Content Note

This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible website of Senator Kenneth P. LaValle. Researchers should note that in 2009, each Senator was allotted space on the main Senate website and the official sites of individual Senators were removed from the live Web.

B2234-07: This accretion consists of an archival copy of Senator LaValle's official website produced on December 21, 2006, shortly before Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains biographical information, photographs, a district map, and press releases (2001-2006) concerning property tax relief, anti-crime, and other legislation that Senator LaValle sponsored and other matters of interest to Senator LaValle's constituents. Also included is a summary of property and other tax cuts in the 2006-07 Executive Budget.

B2234-08: This accretion consists of a copy of Senator LaValle's official website produced on May 8, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains biographical information, press releases (2008), photographs, and information about proposed property tax relief legislation, a proposed higher education assistance program, and other matters of interest to Senator LaValle's constituents.

Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live site and the limitations of Web archiving technology, most of the information contained within this site could not be captured properly. In addition, some of the navigational links do not work properly. However, identical sets of navigational links appear at the top and the bottom of each page. If the link in one set does not work correctly, click the Web browser's Back button and then click on the corresponding link in the other set.
