Scope and Content Note

This series consists of archival copies of the official website of Senator Frank Padavan. Researchers should note that in 2009, each Senator was allotted space on the main Senate website and the official sites of individual Senators were removed from the live Web.

B2247-06: This accretion consists of an archival copy of Senator Padavan's official website produced on December 22, 2006, shortly before Governor Frank E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains biographical information; photographs; a district map; and press releases (2000-2006) concerning Senator Padavan's opposition to casino gambling and the State Lottery, advocacy of tougher anti-crime legislation, and other matters of interest to Senator Padavan's constituents.

Researchers should note that the "Photo Gallery" links at the top left and the bottom of each page do not work correctly; however, the "Photo Gallery" link at the top right of the home page works properly.

B2247-08: This accretion consists of a copy of Senator Padavan's official website produced on June 12, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains biographical information, press releases (2008), and information about human trafficking, "lawn litter," and other legislation that Senator Padavan sponsored. Also included are a 2008 New York City parking calendar and other materials of interest to Senator Padavan's constituents.

Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live site and the limitations of Web archiving technology, some of the information contained within this site could not be captured properly in mid-2008. Some of the "Media Center" links do not work properly and some of the other navigational links do not work as they should. However, identical sets of navigational links appear at the top and the bottom of each page. If, for example, a link at the top of the page does not work correctly, click the Web browser's Back button, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on the corresponding link at the bottom of the page.

B2247-08A: This accretion consists of a copy of Senator Padavan's official website produced on December 31, 2008. This copy was produced by mistake but kept because it contains information not present in the copy produced on June 12, 2008. It contains biographical information and press releases (2008) concerning Senator Padavan's reintroduction of a bill barring the drilling of oil and gas wells in the New York City watershed and other matters of interest to Senator Padavan's constituents. Information about other legislation that Senator Padavan sponsored, a 2008 New York City parking calendar, and other materials are also included.

Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live site and the limitations of Web archiving technology, some of the information contained within this site could not be captured properly in mid-2008. None of the "Media Center" links work properly, and some of the other navigational links do not work as they should. However, identical sets of navigational links appear at the top and the bottom of each page. If, for example, a link at the top of the page does not work correctly, click the Web browser's Back button, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on the corresponding link at the bottom of the page.
