Scope and Content Note

This series consists of an archival copy of the publicly accessible website of the central administration of the City University of New York (CUNY) produced on August 26, 2011. It contains information about the organization's mission, history, and organizational structure. It also includes information about admissions and registration for prospective students, student and faculty research, resources for CUNY faculty and staff, and listings of notable faculty and alumni. Materials concerning the CUNY board of trustees include a listing of board members, meeting schedule (2011-2012), calendars, and dispositions (decisions) of board of trustees meetings (1997-2011). Also present are CUNY policies and agreements with other institutions and lists of all educational centers and institutes under CUNY auspices.

This copy also contains academic calendars (2011-2013); resources for international students and faculty; and tuition and fee listings, and other information (some in Spanish) for undergraduate, graduate, and continuing and professional education students. Also present are newsletters (1995-2011), a listing of CUNY campus libraries, faculty handbooks, and information about applying for faculty and staff positions (2011).

Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live site and the limitations of Web archiving technology, portions of this site could not be captured in August 2011. Moreover, repeated attempts to capture this site after 2011 were unsuccessful.

Researchers should also note that the best way to navigate this copy is to return to the home page and click on the link to the desired section.
