The Department of Taxation and Finance lost thirty-nine (39) employees in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. The department call center staffed a hotline for donations and information assistance, and administered the World Trade Center Relief Fund.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
