Scope and Content Note

This series contains background materials concerning the interpretation and administration of the specific issues, research, and other studies; labor/management committee decisions and project results; and background materials from other sources. The records were created by the Contract Negotiation Administration Deputy and Associate Directors for the purpose of administering the provisions of State collective bargaining agreements. Information was created for historical reference purposes on an ongoing basis in order to interpret and administer the State/union agreements and to understand the history, precedent, and policy regarding contract negotiation issues.

B2498-12: This accretion contains a number of folders that include alphabetical listings of New York State employees with information such as their job titles, grade levels, and locations where they worked; however it is not extensive. Copies of final tally ballots can also be found that show the final vote count for each unit, in addition to statements of policies and procedural guidelines for assorted employee matters. Also included are files on various topics such as the Binghamton State Office Building Fire, Contract Negotiations and Administration, and the Public Employees Federation (PEF).
