The Legislative Affairs Office has various responsibilities relating to developing and promoting the agency's legislative agenda and monitoring legislative issues. In particular, the Office coordinates agency policies on legislation to ensure that testimony presented by Department of Environmental Conservation officials at public hearings on issues of legislative concern represents agency policy on the matters.
Scope and Content Note
This series contains records pertaining to the formulation of formal testimony presented at legislative hearings, hearing notices, questions and answers, and hearing transcripts. The files may include other relevant information concerning the hearing and issue, such as background information on the hearing topic. The files do not document what occurred at the hearing other than including a copy of the testimony presented by the Department of Environmental Conservation employee.
