Administrative History

The Berkshire Farm Center Community Services Department, established in 1964 as the After-Care program, oversaw cottage placements, foster care programs, group homes, and prevention services throughout New York State. These programs incorporated the quality of treatment and care students received at the institution to other facilities across the state managed by the institution. Programs continued to expand throughout New York in an effort to reach more youth and provide more educational and occupational services.
