Administrative History

Executive Order No. 111, promulgated on June 10, 2001 by Governor George Pataki, empowered the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to collect reports from state entities relating to their energy consumption, with the ultimate goal of creating a statewide report on this subject. Governors Eliot Spitzer and David Paterson both renewed this executive order. Executive Order No. 88, issued by Governor Andrew Cuomo, replaced Executive Order 111. Effective as of December 28, 2012, Executive Order No. 88 focuses on further reduction of state entity energy consumption relative to 2010-2011 usage levels.
