Scope and Content Note

This series consists of guidance, policies, and procedures from the leadership of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to staff and those under their jurisdiction for handling day-to-day and special responsibilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. The files contain protocols for staff, children, and childcare providers on maintaining social distancing and for providing access to educational resources. Files include documentation of the challenges faced during the pandemic, such as virus testing, lack of accurate contact information to access free meals, and other services. Also included are announcements, policies, procedures, and guidance from the following program areas under the auspice of the agency: Administration, Commission for the Blind, Child Welfare and Community Services, Council on Children and Families, Division of Child Care Services, Human Resources, Legal, and Youth Development and Partnerships for Success.
