Scope and Content Note
This series is an outdated partial index to Enrolled Chancery Decrees After 1800. This index was superseded some time in the 19th century by Index of Enrolled Decrees After 1800.
File numbers recorded here no longer refer to actual enrolled decrees; they have been replaced by new file numbers which appear in Index of Enrolled Decrees after 1800. Each entry in the index contains the names of the complainant, defendant, and solicitor and the date the decree was filed. Entries recorded before 1830 also include the object of the suit (i.e., divorce, foreclosure) and the nature of the decree ("divorce granted," "sale"). This information is not included in the Index of Enrolled Decrees.
