These files consist of returns to writs of certiorari, mandamus and error filed in Albany. They were removed from Series J0025, Supreme Court of Judicature (Geneva). Writs of execution, 1829-1847.

J1025-06: This accretion consists mostly of writs of error and returns thereto, and a few writs of certiorari and bills of exceptions.

Custodial History

J1025-06: These records were transferred to the State Archives by the Court of Appeals in 1982 but became estranged from the original accession for some unknown reason until they were identified and accessioned as part of the 11th floor renovation and relocation project.
