Summary:
This series consists of the annual reports of Injunction Masters on the accounts of all court appointed guardians, committees, and receivers in their circuits. These reports were originally filled with the Chancellor and appropriate Vice Chancellor pursuant to court rule 156. The reports are in narrative form and contain the following information for each account: whether it was kept correctly; whether there was any waste or inappropriate use of the funds; and whether funds were properly invested and secured.

Scope and Content Note

This series consists of the annual reports of Injunction Masters on the accounts of all court appointed guardians, committees, and receivers in their circuits. These reports were originally filled with the Chancellor and appropriate Vice Chancellor pursuant to court rule 156.

The reports are in narrative form and contain the following information for each account: whether it was kept correctly; whether there was any waste or inappropriate use of the funds; and whether funds were properly invested and secured. The reports of the Injunction Master of the 3rd Circuit tend to be more detailed than others. They often include information on the amount of money involved and the date and type of transactions in each case.

Custodial History

The Court of Appeals placed these records on deposit at the Historical Documents Collection, Queens College, from 1973-1982.
