The minutes contain summaries or texts of motions, orders, and final decrees. Entries relate to cases commenced by complaint or petition.
Minutes also contain orders admitting solicitors and counselors to practice in the court. At the front of the first volume are entered "Rules of Practice in the Courts of Equity for the Several Circuits."
Volume 123 (microfilm roll 45) consists of minutes from the equity terms of the New York Supreme Court (New York County) for July-November 1847.
