The register that comprises this series contains entries of filings of performance bonds by receivers and committees. Each entry includes date of filing bond; names of complainant and defendant or name of subject of petition (woman, minor child, lunatic, etc.); statement that a bond was filed by the receiver or committee; and name of solicitor.

Location of Originals

Microfilmed for the New York County Clerk's Office in 1959 (microfilm roll 4582 [part]). Original volume was destroyed after filming.

Custodial History

Volume's office of origin is uncertain. It may have been created in the Register's office, prior to abolition of the Court of Chancery, effective July 1, 1847, or in the New York County Clerk's Office after that date.
