Scope and Content Note
This series contains records pertaining to bills referred to the Assembly Standing Committee on the Judiciary for consideration and reporting. For each bill, the files usually includes: copy of the bill; Speaker's Research Staff Report (with summary of present law, summary of proposed law, legislative history, recommendation for passage, and fiscal implications); sponsor's memorandum with a summary of the bill and reasons for passage; and memoranda in support or opposition sent by state agencies, organizations or individuals.
L0010-99: This accretion consists of Assembly Judiciary Committee bill files for the 1995-1996 legislative session. In addition, it includes committee meeting folders (1992-1996), which typically contain: agendas (lists of bills under consideration at a given meeting); copies of sponsors' memoranda for those bills; and copies of the committee clerk's reports, which document committee action on particular bills. Occasionally, a record of individual committee members' votes is attached.
L0010-00: This accretion consists of bill files numbered A.1 - A.11392 that were considered by the committee for the 1997-1998 legislative session.
