Scope and Content Note

The series consists of minutes of meetings of the Legislative Commission on Expenditure Review (LCER) which was established to determine whether state agencies and departments efficiently and effectively implement their programs in line with legislative intent and authorization. The records document commission planning, progress, and results in studying state agency programs and expenditures and evaluating specific program achievements through program-wide audits.

The records include original minutes along with copies of related support documents, particularly proposals for future audits.
