This diagram of the New York State Legislative Assembly includes of a floor plan of the assembly chamber with seating chart listing names of assembly members and counties they represented and of facilities such as the cloak room, library, post office, clerk's room, superimposed with rosters of the assembly committees; and names and titles of assembly staff. Also shown are the locations of the desks of newspaper reporters, with titles of the respective newspapers for which they worked.

Scope and Content Note

This diagram of the New York State Legislative Assembly consists of a floor plan of the assembly chamber with a seating chart with names of all assembly members and the counties they represented. The plan also shows related facilities such as the cloak room, library, post office, clerk's room, and engrossing room adjoining the chamber, superimposed with rosters of the assembly committees; names and titles of other assemby staff (such as various clerks, sergeants at arms, keepers of the chamber, post office and library staff, messengers, door keepers); and janitor. Also shown are the locations of the desks of newspaper reporters, with titles of the respective newspapers for which they worked.

Custodial History

Assemblyman David Koon, 135th District, transferred this plan to the State Archives in 1998 after receiving it from a constituent.
