This diagram of the New York State Legislative Assembly consists of a floor plan of the assembly chamber with a seating chart with names of all assembly members and the counties they represented. The plan also shows related facilities such as the cloak room, library, post office, clerk's room, and engrossing room adjoining the chamber, superimposed with rosters of the assembly committees; names and titles of other assemby staff (such as various clerks, sergeants at arms, keepers of the chamber, post office and library staff, messengers, door keepers); and janitor. Also shown are the locations of the desks of newspaper reporters, with titles of the respective newspapers for which they worked.
