Administrative History
The Sub-committee on Indian Affairs was created in 1970 to recommend revisions to the Indian law in New York State which had not been updated since 1909. Scope and Content Note
This series consists of John Hudacs' records of the Sub-committee on Indian Affairs. Hudacs served as the Project Director of the sub-committee and personally went to several of the meetings to hear the concerns of the people. This series consists of hearing transcripts and subject files regarding Indian affairs from 1970-1972. It also includes correspondence, copies of reports, reel recordings of the meetings on the reservations, and background information on the services to Native Americans at that time.
