Scope and Content Note
This series contains records of Maurice D. Hinchey as representative for the 101st New York State Assembly district. The records principally cover environmental issues in the 101st assembly district. However, since the focus is on expansive geographic features such as the Hudson Valley, rivers, mountain ranges, and watershed areas, broad coverage includes neighboring downstate counties and New York City. The records include reports on the Catskills and the creation of the Hudson Valley Greenway. Topics covered include water quality and contracts for solid waste management. There are also photographs from political and constituency events.
