I, the undersigned, [ Lambert Cornelissen ], hereby [ acknowledge ] (before [ the subscribing witnesses, at the request of ] my father, Cornelis [Lambertsen,[1] here] present), that I have been [ fully paid and sa ]tisfied for [ the portion of ] my [ deceased mother’s estate which ] until now has been in the custody of my father and my step-[ mother ], Aeltien Braccongne, in witness whereof I have signed this and [ promise to ] hold myself satisfied in full, submitting myself to that end to all courts and justices. Thus done and signed the [ ] May 1642, in Fort Amsterdam, in New Netherland. And was signed with the following mark X , near which was written: This is the mark of Lambert Cornelissen. Lower appeared the following mark X , near which was written: This is the mark of Cornelis Lambersz. Was signed also, Maurits Jansen and Willem Kieft, both as witnesses.
