Bill of sale of a horse from Cornelis van Tienhoven to Jeuriaen Hendricksen

Jeuriaen Hendricksen ] from Osenbruch ] acknowledges in the presence ] of Huych Aer[tsen from Rossum[1]79 and Claes van Elslant] that he has purchased from Cornelis van Tienhoven a stallion ] in his second year, which said stallion ] shall be fitted out by van Tienhoven at his ] expense and be at said ] van Tienhoven’s risk, and must be delivered by ] the vendor on the first of May 1643, when Jeuriaen shall also be obliged to receive it; for which horse the purchaser is to pay the sum of two hundred Carolus guilders on delivery, to wit, on the first of May aforesaid, with the express stipulation that the purchaser shall give the vendor an order on the honorable director, with which parties are satisfied. Done the 6th of December anno 1642 in Fort Amsterdam, New Netherland.
