I ], Abraham Planck, acknowledge for myself, my heirs and assigns that on the date underwritten I have transferred and conveyed as I do hereby to Jan Damen and Cornelis van Tienhoven the Paulus Hook together with the ] house and ] all the appurtenances and dependencies thereof, in virtue of the patent granted by the honorable director and council of New Netherland. Wherefore he, Planck, from this date cedes and relinquishes the ownership of the above mentioned Paulus Hook, transferring and conveying all and singular the premises to and for the benefit of Jan Damen and Tienhoven aforesaid until he, Plank, shall have released them from their suretyship on a certain bond executed in favor of the West India Company, or shall have paid the same. Done the 27th of April anno 1643, in Fort Amsterdam, New Netherland.
