I, J[ an de Visser ][ , declare that after I had ] served Mr. La Montagne [ a little more ] than two years, I requested the said La Montagne in a friendly manner to be allowed to leave his service in order to enter that of the Company, in which service I have continued to this day. Done the 3rd of November anno 1643.
