Declaration of Evert Cornelissen regarding the ownership of property left him by his brother Laurens Cornelissen
Ever[ t Cornelissen ] d[ eclares at the request of the ] honorable fiscal that all the property [ which his ] brother Laurens Cornelissen left him belongs to the freighters and not to his brother, including the house of Fredric Lubbersen as well as the brandy and other goods; only, Evert Cornelissen declares that the yacht De Juffrou is his own and that his brother has no interest therein. All of which he is ready to confirm by oath. Done the 22nd of December anno 1643, in the fort.
