I, Antony de Hoges, acknowledge that I am indebted to Lysbet Tysen, wife of Maryn Adriaensz, in the sum of fifty-five guilders, four stivers and two pence, which I promise to pay to her in beavers at ƒ6 apiece. Done the 17th of October 1644, in Fort Amsterdam in New Netherland.
