Series:
Scanned Document:

Before me, Cornelis van Tienhoven, secretary of New Netherland, appeared Antony Crol and Philip Jansz, who declared that as friends and partners they had agreed and covenanted as follows: if it should please Almighty God during this voyage to call one of them out of this world, the survivor of them shall receive and possess in full ] ownership his share of the ship and other profits which they may make on the voyage; and in regard to what they leave in this country, Antony Crol’s part shall go to his brother, and Philip Jansz’ part shall go to Antony, provided that he give two hundred guilders to the poor. In witness whereof this is signed the 18th of November 1644.
