Whereas Captain Jan Onderhil and Isaac Allerton have been authorized by the director and council of New Netherland to settle and decide, according to the best of their knowledge, the case of Mr. Moor[1] and Mr. Wederley; therefore, they declare after mature deliberation that they find it to be [ just ] that half the bark shall remain Mr. Moor’s, provided he pay here to Mr. Wederley two hundred and fifty pounds of tobacco, or the value thereof, leaving him, Mr. Wederley, to settle his affairs with the knight In Virginia,[2] inasmuch as [ ] to bring [ ] from England.
