Series:
Scanned Document:

Before me, Cornelis van Tienhoven, secretary of New Netherland, appeared Catalyntje van Strassel, who acknowledges that she is well and truly indebted to Dirck Cornelisz from Wensveen in the sum of two hundred and twenty guilders for rent and board received at the house of Dirck Cornelissen by Jan Jansen Ilpendam and the aforesaid Catalyntje, which sum she, Catalyntje, promises shall be paid with her other debts out of her estate and all other property and inheritance belonging to her, Catalyntje, and Jan Jansen Ilpendam, which she offers as security therefor. Thus done and signed in the presence of Hendrick Hendricksz Kip and Isaack de Foreest, on the island of Manhatans, the 19th of August anno 1647.
