Order authorizing the burgomasters of New Amsterdam to collect moneys subscribed for the public works

The honorable lords burgomasters of this city of Amsterdam in New Netherland requested at the session authorization to be allowed to collect and demand money, which had been promised and underwritten according to the foregoing resolution dated the 11th of this month;[1] after deliberation it was decided that the honorable burgomasters of this city of Amsterdam in New Netherland are hereby authorized by the director general and councilors (according to the resolution [      ] dated 11 October) to collect and demand the foregoing promised and underwritten money, and to constrain those refusing thereto, and to implement it.
