Appointment of Peter Tonneman to be sheriff and clerk of the district of Breuckelen

Whereas the positions of schout and secretary in the villages of Breuckelen, Midwout, Amesfoort and adjacent places have come vacant, and it is urgent that the aforesaid positions be filled again with a good and capable person; therefore, the director general and councilors, having taken notice of the good reports and recommendations presented to them about the person of Pieter Tonneman, have employed and commissioned, and appointed him to administer in the aforesaid villages and dependant places good justice, to the best of his knowledge, pursuant to the instructions issued to him or still to be issued; and to wield the pen there in the sessions as secretary until further order, for which service he is to receive: 200 guilders yearly.
