The director general andcouncilors of New Netherland, having received and read the foregoing petition of the magistrates of Midwout, dated the 13th of this month of January, the director general and councilors find the requests therein mentioned reasonable; the said magistrates are therefore authorized to employ the same and to proceed against all who refuse. Dated as above.
