We, Willem Kieft, etc... have given and granted to Claes Jansen Backer a certain lot located on the island of Manhattan; it extends on the south side or in front on the street one rod and 4½ feet; on the west side next to Jorse Rapelye 3 rods, 2 feet; on the north side one rod and ½ foot; on the east side next to Gillis Pietersz 3 rods, 2 feet, with the express conditions etc...
Done at Fort Amsterdam in New Netherland, 18 March 1647.
