Order for the nomination of additional magistrates for Staten Island

Whereas I am informed that for the maintenance of good order on Staten Island, it is necessary instead of two, that four proper persons be appointed as Commissaries there, therefore, the actual Schout and Commissaries are hereby ordered to convene the proprietors of real estate (de vastgegoede ingesetenen), there residing and by plurality of votes to nominate four persons from whom two will be elected by me as Commissaries with those at present in commission.
