BOND of Lucas Rodenburch concerning the goats and sheep delivered by Petrus Stuyvesant to the Company

According to the accounts kept by Jan Galjaert, schoolmaster and former overseer of the goats, there are 156 head from the goats and sheep delivered by lord Stuyvesant to the Company, which were distributed at various times to the Company’s servants for rations; and since his honor has been here, about 36 head, goats as well as castrated bucks and rams, have been delivered to the ships Pereboom and Abrahams Offerhande, and to the common table, which have to be restored from the Company’s goats and sheep or otherwise credited to the aforesaid lord director-general at three guilders a head, which is the usual market value here. As proof and security hereof, I have confirmed and signed this with my own hand. Done at Curaçao in Fort Amsterdam, 12 June 1655. Was signed:
