Administrative History

The Law Revision Commission was created by Chapter 597 of the Laws of 1934, which became Article 4-A of the State Legislative Law. The purpose of the commission is to recommend changes deemed necessary to modify or eliminate antiquated and inequitable rules of law and to modernize state laws.

Scope and Content Note

This series consists of an unbound report prepared by the Law Revision Commission in 1982. The report concerns proposed changes to the State Insurance law. The recommendations were based upon a study completed by the commission and formed the basis of Chapter 367 of the Laws of 1984 which recodified the State insurance Law. The report includes the changes being made to the law as well as corrections and comments on these changes by the Law Revision Commission.
