Scope and Content Note

The series consists of notebooks and logs of telephone messages to attorney generals Robert Abrams (served as Attorney General from 1979 to 1993) and Eliot Spitzer (served as Attorney General from 1999 to 2006) taken by their support staffs and forwarded to them for response. As such they provide information on daily activities which reflect dealings with specific issues at any given time. The records include copies of telegrams, and some typescripts of telegram texts with annotations, sent by Attorney General Robert Abrams. Also included are copies of telephone bills and standard telephone vouchers for the same time period.
