Administrative History

The Environmental Enforcement Unit ensures accurate interpretation and enforcement of statutes administered by the Adirondack Park Agency (APA); provides legal advice and assistance to the agency staff; enforces the APA Act, the Wild, Scenic and Recreational Rivers System Act, and the Freshwater Wetlands Act; assists APA staff in managing personnel, equipment, program development scheduling, and record keeping functions; and provides technical assistance and expertise to the Planning Operations Division.
