Scope and Content Note

This series includes slides, photographic prints, and photographic negatives created to publicize the New York State Theatre Institute's productions. Prints and slides are in both color and black and white, and generally depict scenes from various productions and close-up shots of actors in costume. The images were created by professional photographers hired under contract.

Acquistion Information

These records were created by the New York State Theatre Institute, and were transferred to the custody of the State Education Department when the institute was dissolved in April 2010. They were transferred to the State Archives in March 2013.
