This series consists of hand-written original musical scores composed for various productions and commissioned by the New
York State Theatre Institute (NYSTI). Some of these scores were written by well-known composers, such as Joseph Raposo, Jr.,
who wrote the score for "Raggedy Ann."

Acquisition Information
These records were created by the New York State Theatre Institute, and were transferred to the custody of the State Education
Department when the institute was dissolved in April 2010. They were transferred to the State Archives in March 2013.

according to the New York State Theatre Institute's contract with the composer and whether or not the score was adapted for
a particular performance. Contracts found in series B2359 may shed light on each score's status. Consult with archivist to
